Symmetric geometry, symmetric flow: simulate half the model and spend the whole cell budget on it. The other half is mirrored back for post-processing, and forces and moments (global and per part) already account for the complete 3D model. Yaw is fixed at 0°.
Flow monitors let you quantify the airflow passing through any surface in your model. Select a surface, choose volumetric (m³/s) or mass (kg/s) flow rate, and AeroCloud reports the value for every simulated yaw angle alongside your aerodynamic results.
AeroCloud simulations can now be configured with a ceiling plane, adding a third boundary option alongside the existing ground and free-stream setups. When enabled, a solid wall is placed on the top of the model, making it possible to simulate the presence of an upper boundary as it can be for the underwater part of a boat hull or surfboard fins.
Parts refinement lets you designate specific parts as priority regions. AeroCloud will allocate a larger share of your cell budget to those areas, giving you higher mesh resolution and more accurate results without increasing simulation cost.
The moving ground functionality in AeroCloud has been enhanced to support all yaw angles.
A new visualization has been added to show the forces through a configurable histogram plot, complementing the existing line plot. This makes it easier to analyze force distributions in more detail, adjusting the number of bins based on user preference.
